Research Interests

David's main driving motivation as a researcher is “developing statistical and modelling based tools that enables the transformation from high-throughput data and biobanks into an understanding of biology as dynamical multi-scale systems”. This “broadly defined” goal includes the use of tools as: (i) statistics, (ii) dynamical systems and (iii) the integration of different data types. To this end, in the recent years David has been working in the development of workflows (and tool-boxes) that define efficient ways to achieve this goal. However, still the work has been majorly done in two separate areas: Computational Biology and Bioinformatics.
